At Envases’ PET recycling plants, we transform post-consumer PET packaging into recycled resin, which can be used in the manufacturing of new containers or sold as raw material.

ECOPET Recycling Plant

Located in Uruguay, our ECOPET recycling plant is a key part of our global sustainability efforts. This advanced facility plays a vital role in national recycling initiatives and contributes significantly to the production of food-grade recycled PET (rPET) for new packaging. ECOPET embodies our dedication to environmental responsibility and community engagement.

Apan Recycling Plant

The APAN PET Recycling Plant in Apan, Hidalgo, Mexico, stands as one of the world’s largest bottle-to-bottle facilities. This groundbreaking plant is instrumental in preventing waste and producing high-quality, food-grade recycled PET. Beyond its environmental impact, the Apan plant significantly contributes to local development and job creation in the region.

A common goal

Since 2019, in conjunction with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and the United Nations Environment Program, Envases Mexico PET operation shares the goal, at least 25% of recycled material is used in all our production.

Currently, the consumption of recycled PET represents 16,9% of the total weight of transformed PET, in Envases Mexico operations.

At Envases, our approach to sustainability is guided by the principles of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG).
