  • Plastic can be recycled again and again

Plastic can be recycled again and again

Many of our products are made of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), which is a plastic polymer with flexible properties and makes it ideal for a wide range of applications and its good water, moisture, solvents and chemical resistance makes it suitable for many household and industrial chemicals such as detergents and bleach.

Recycling HDPE has many benefits. For example, it is more cost efficient to produce a product from recycled HDPE than it is to manufacture ‘virgin’ plastic.

It has never been easier to recycle plastic. HDPE is accepted at most recycling centres in the world, as it is one of the easiest plastic polymers to recycle. Recycling varies from country to country, but a lot of community curbside programs recycle plastic bottles and containers.

HDPE can be recovered and recycled again and again by thorough washing and remelting for use in new HDPE products. This is done by sending HDPE products for regeneration, where they undergo a process by first being cleaned, compressed and transmitted as recycled granules – which again and again are used for new HPPE products.

Light weight saves resources

Plastics often enable companies to ship more products with less packaging material. Plastic packaging in general is lightweight and strong—different plastics can be molded, extruded, cast and blown into seemingly limitless shapes.

This resourcefulness often delivers while using minimal resources, creating less waste, consuming fewer resources and creating fewer CO2 emissions than alternative materials.
